Duplex, triplex or multi-layer – can't find the stock you wish? Let's create one for you!

The process

Lamination can be a useful idea for many reasons:

Thick card is clearly fashionable at present – but the weight of the card required is often not available. So, a thinner card is used and doubled up. If this is still insufficient, we laminate the desired card onto a weightier core, thereby achieving weights which can be in excess of 1,000 g/m².

Double-sided business cards with assorted colors or materials on either side can also be achieved by lamination. In our opinion, this is infinitely more preferable to the exaggerated use of printed colors on natural card.

Lamination can also be used to highlight cut edges and comes close to stealing the show from color edging: Using multiple layers of different colored card means that the cut edge can be multi-colored. Card with up to 7 different colored layers can be produced.

Lamination can also deliver a very practical use for stamping. Where card is required that has an impressive embossing on one side which should be invisible on the reverse, we simply laminate the reverse side with a second layer of card.

You will have to do your homework if you want laminated cards. But don’t worry, we’ll be glad to help! The choice of material is crucial. Sometimes it is the color which is most important, as it is part of a corporate identity. On other occasions, it is the print or the finish which takes priority.

Lamination itself can be done using wet glue, adhesive or hot-melt. But don’t worry: we will choose the right laminating technique for you, taking into account the technical aspects of your product.
