Shimmering three-dimensional appearance!
Hot-foil embossing is similar to flat hot-foil stamping in that a brass die is produced in a precision process using machine engraving. A so called fluted foiling die brings together the qualities of flat hot-foil stamping and blind embossing. In one smooth operation, the hot-foil is both sealed onto the substrate and relief-embossed at the same time. Heat and pressure in the embossing press seal the metallic or pigment layer onto the substrate.
The palette of hot foils offers matt and high-gloss metallic surfaces, high-pigment colors, textured finishes and also holographic effect foils. Hot-foil relief stamping really comes into its own when used with dark-colored papers.
